“Watch it!”    Luke 9:57-62

  • Following Jesus will expose you to rejection and suffering.

  • Following Jesus means putting His mission to save others from judgment above all else.

  • Following Jesus means committing to not looking back.

Read Philippians 1:12-14

  • In Acts 21-28, Paul faced multiple prisons, shipwreck and more before prison in Rome.

  • What did all the non-Christians in Rome say was the reason for Paul’s hard times in prison?

  • What do you think others would say is the main pursuit of your life?

  • Why did Paul’s imprisonment make other believers bold in sharing their faith?

Read 2nd Timothy 2:1-7

  • V.1 Where could Timothy find strength?

  • V.2 What did Timothy need strength to do?

  • Vv.3-4 Describe how we should be like soldiers in following our commander, Jesus Christ?

  • Vv.5-6 How are we to pursue following Christ like the athlete and the farmer?

  • V.7 Think over these things. In what area of your life do you need to whip into obedience to Christ?

  • What is one thing you can do this week to make Jesus the light that others see in your life?

  • How might you be rejected or suffer as a result?

  • Is Jesus and others lives worth it? Why?
