  • God told Abram to “go from” his 1) country, 2) kindred, and 3) father’s house.

  • Why do you think God sent Abram away from the general area of his country to the increasingly more intimate support of his father’s household?

  • How was God going to bless Abram?

  • What was God’s purpose in blessing Abram?

  • In addition to leaving all he knew and loved, what other challenges stood in the way of God’s promise to Abram? See Genesis 11:29-30

  • How was Abram supposed to discover this new blessed life?

  • According to Paul in Galatians 3:13-14, how have you been blessed as a result of Abram’s faith?

Read 1 Peter 3:8-18

  • How are we called to be a blessing to the world around us?

  • In v.18, what was the good result that came from Christ’s suffering for your sins?

  • How is God calling you to step out and honor Jesus among people not following Jesus?
