    • Good character is revealed in concern for others.
    • Good character is revealed in a good name with outsiders.
    • Good character is revealed when we prioritize worship.
    • Good character is revealed in humility.
  • God will honor your request when you life honors God.

God challenged his people not to be careless in their following Him by telling them, “Consider your ways!” (Haggai 1:5)

“10 Questions to Ask at the Start of a New Year”1

1. What’s one thing you could do this year to enjoy God more?

2. What impossibly thing will you attempt for God this year, and

3. what impossible thing will you expect from God as a result?

4. What’s the single most important thing you could do to help your family and friends draw closer to Jesus?

5. What spiritual discipline (Bible study, prayer etc.) do you want to grow the most in and what will you do about it?

6. What is the single biggest time-waster in your life, and what will you do about it this year?

7. What is the most helpful new way you could strengthen your church this year?

8. For whose salvation will you pray regularly for this year?

9. What’s the most important way you will, by God’s grace, try to make this year different from last year?

10. What single thing that you plan to do this year will matter most in ten years? In eternity?
